TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL BACKGROUND SUMMARY

Overview:

My Information Technology acumen spans over three decades beginning with technical work related experience in an IBM mainframe environment carrying out COBOL development\maintenance programming that commenced in 1991 with the company M/A/R/C Group and continued right up until I left Dun and Bradstreet Software in 1996. Since then my technical work related experience has been primarily in a windows based Client- Server architecture.

My comprehensive technical experience spans other areas such as technical leadership in application training, performing conference pilots and system testing, as well as managing system upgrades, applying service packs, and working on issue resolution i.e. (hardware, software, and system related problems). While simultaneous overseeing many other IT related areas such as an enterprise wide IT issue related tracking system, along with managing and overseeing entire networks both (LAN &WAN). Additional responsibilities included core system backups in conjunction with restorations and disaster recovery plans, during which I managed, stress tested, and troubleshoot when necessary various data interfaces. Even though I spent countless efforts managing network infrastructures i.e. network connectivity challenges, communication challenges, all the while being responsible for operations and management of a full enterprise network array of hubs, switches, cabling, fiber optics, wireless access points, not to mention many challenges facing our Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), several T-1s, and a companywide telemanagement PBX accompanied by a comprehensive call accounting tracking software and its required component hardware.

In summary, my chief technical skills are in three main areas, first ERP application implementations along with supporting and enhancing existing ERP application systems. Second, my vast experience converting\scrubbing\formatting and importing legacy system data on top of overseeing the deployment of numerous third party data interfaces that perform a number of I\O operations into Epicor’s ERP application system. Third, troubleshooting all types of data, system, network, and hardware related issues across the enterprise as aforementioned.
In addition to comprehensive technical experience is my supplementary experience with IT administration, IT governance and IT management, which included being responsibility for Capital expenditures requests, IT department annual budgeting, along with project ran rates actuals to budget, and cost reduction initiatives. All the while providing IT department Executive summaries and board member related directive updates on a weekly, by weekly and monthly basis. Additional experience with IT performance and risk management, setting IT department wide priorities to achieve executive\board directives, combined with effectively deploying IT staff (both internal and external) team of IT personnel across three locations.
Lastly, my chief administration skills assisted with aligning IT capabilities with business strategies
and structures to maintain continuous alignment with the corporate vision. Working with Fortune 500 companies senior executives to address the people implications of an IT-enabled charge. All the while informing IT and business executives on the strategic use of IT ERP applications in conjunction with their aforementioned infrastructure.

In conclusion, all mentioned above was performed in a fact paced team oriented corporate environment.

• 17+ years of extensive technical experience installing, configuring, and administering Microsoft based Servers and PC operating systems from Windows NT 4.0 to Server 2012 along with Windows 3.1 – Windows 7.
• 17+ years of extensive technical experience installing, configuring, and administering different versions of Microsoft SQL Server from Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 to Microsoft SQL Server 2012.

Technical Accolades:

• Received recognition from the President and CEO of Innoware Plastic for having accomplished the smoothest upgrade he had ever seen from a legacy green screen\Btrieve database system to current technology i.e. Windows based\SQL TCM (Time Critical Manufacturing) system.
• Second in revenue generation 1999 for Epicor’s southeast technical consulting services.
• Given highest evaluation rating and named most improved Epicor technical consultant year 1999.
• Graduated from Dun & Bradstreet mainframe technical Career Development Program.
• Earned 1996 “Catch the Wave” Extra Effort Award Dun & Bradstreet Software of the Year 2000 system testing.
• Identified and reported a major functionality enhancement deficiency in a Materials release that uncovered a potential to cause customers worldwide abnormal termination in nightly batch processing. Result: Created an installation alert on a worldwide client database that immediately informed customers, thus reducing the volume of phone calls into the helpline and increasing customer satisfaction.
• Recognized that our systems group was unable to fully deliver all VSAM data files necessary to complete certification testing due to the full suite of new products being released. Created a set of temporary VSAM data files so that batch JCL testing would meet deadline. Result: Avoided delaying certification, enabling us to release the product on time to our customers.
• Earned Host Education Sales Liaison appointment. Result: Developed a quick reference database tool to increase sales that contained class descriptions and schedules for all North America.
